Each Friday in May, we will be live streaming a Rosary on Facebook Live. May is a month that Catholics show their love and devotion to Mary in a particular way. The stream will begin at 6pm on the Holy Family Parish Facebook page.
Pope Francis is encouraging families to "rediscover the beauty of praying the Rosary at home in the month of May." He has provided two prayers to Our Lady that can be prayed at the end of the Rosary during this month. Read his letter and access the prayers here.
On Friday, May 8th, Holy Family School will hold their traditional May Crowning. The service will be live streamed on the Holy Family School Facebook page at 9am. Once the stream is started, it will be shared to the parish Facebook. Soon after the stream ends, it will be posted on YouTube as well.
St. Vincent de Paul Update
Your Saint Vincent de Paul Society would again like to thank you for your prayers and donations during this very strange time. While we are navigating through oceans of uncertainty, we frequently encounter islands of hope and comfort. Like this last week, while a volunteer was purchasing some supplies for our food pantry at Grant Line Walmart. Seeing the bulk quantities of items, the checkout clerk asked the volunteer if this food was going to help people in need? When the volunteer responded yes, the clerk asked him to go back into the store and get $25 more in supplies and she would pay for it herself. Helping others that we will likely never meet or can pay us back is our calling as Catholics, as followers of Christ!
As a reminder, our St. Vincent food pantry donation box has been relocated to the drop off area at the In Heaven’s Eyes building on the East end of campus. In May, we would love for you to donate canned fruit or anything you find on discount or sale. Thank you again for your prayers!
