Liturgical Ministry
Where are you called to serve
in our Holy Family family?
At Holy Family, our liturgical ministries offer parishioners the opportunity to share their time and talents in a meaningful way, helping to create beautiful, reverent, and welcoming liturgies. Each role plays a vital part in our worship and strengthens the spiritual life of our parish community.
Whether you’re called to proclaim God’s Word, offer hospitality, assist at the altar, or support behind the scenes, there’s a place for you here.
Altar Servers
Assists Father during Mass. Available to those in 5th grade and up. Training is required and will be provided.
Lectors
Proclaims the readings at Mass. Training is required and will be provided.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHCs)
Assists Father with the distribution of Communion. Training is required and will be provided.
Sacristans
Sets up chalices, ciboriums, etc before Mass and cleans up chalices and ciboriums after Mass. Training is required and will be provided.
Gift Bearers
Brings up the bread and wine during the Offertory procession at Mass. No training is needed.
Ushers & Greeters
Greeters greet and hold doors before Mass. May also assist the usher with the collection, if needed. No training is needed. User Responsibilities include taking a headcount at Mass, taking up the collection, and greeting and holding doors before Mass. Training is required and will be provided.
Music Ministry
Lift your voice in praise! Our music ministry includes cantors, choirs, and instrumentalists who lead the congregation in song and enhance the prayerfulness of our liturgies.
Liturgical Environment & Art Ministry
This ministry helps beautify the church for each liturgical season, arranging flowers, banners, and décor that reflect the Church’s calendar and support the prayerful atmosphere of worship.
