Liturgical Ministry

Where are you called to serve
in our Holy Family family?

At Holy Family, our liturgical ministries offer parishioners the opportunity to share their time and talents in a meaningful way, helping to create beautiful, reverent, and welcoming liturgies. Each role plays a vital part in our worship and strengthens the spiritual life of our parish community.

Whether you’re called to proclaim God’s Word, offer hospitality, assist at the altar, or support behind the scenes, there’s a place for you here.

Altar Servers

Who Can Serve: Youth (grades 5 and up) and adults
Altar Servers assist the priest during Mass and special liturgies, helping with processions, preparation of the altar, and sacred vessels. This ministry is perfect for those who enjoy being close to the action of the liturgy and have a spirit of reverence.

Lectors

Lectors proclaim the Word of God during Mass and help prepare hearts to receive the Gospel message. Training and resources are provided to support strong, prayerful proclamation.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHCs)

EMHCs assist in the distribution of the Eucharist during Mass and may also take Communion to the sick or homebound. This ministry is a deeply meaningful way to share Christ’s presence with others.

Sacristans

Sacristans prepare the sacred vessels, altar linens, and liturgical items before Mass and help ensure everything runs smoothly during the liturgy. This behind-the-scenes role is essential to our worship.

Gift Bearers

Gift Bearers present the bread and wine during the offertory presentation at the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass.

Being a Gift Bearer is a simple yet meaningful way to participate in the liturgy and offer yourself in service to the parish community. It’s a great opportunity for individuals, couples, or families to get involved—especially if you're looking for a low-commitment way to begin serving.

Ushers & Greeters

Our ushers and greeters are often the first faces people see when they walk through our doors. They provide a warm welcome, assist with seating, collect the offering, and help with the flow of the liturgy. A heart for hospitality is key!

Music Ministry

Lift your voice in praise! Our music ministry includes cantors, choirs, and instrumentalists who lead the congregation in song and enhance the prayerfulness of our liturgies.

Liturgical Environment & Art Ministry

This ministry helps beautify the church for each liturgical season, arranging flowers, banners, and décor that reflect the Church’s calendar and support the prayerful atmosphere of worship.
