Food for the Parish Ministry
Do you like to cook or bake? Join our list of volunteers who supply food for various parish events! Soups, salads, entrees, sides, desserts… all are needed. As parish staff plan events, we will use this list to recruit volunteers on an as-needed basis.

Comfort Meals for After Funerals
Do you like to cook or bake and/or help serve meals? The meals we provide after a funeral at Holy Family are back, but we are needing additional volunteers to keep this ministry going. Join our list of volunteers! We are in need of people to bring food, serve the meal, and some captains.

Provide Supplies for Youth Ministry
Drop off requested items (i.e. canned drinks, bags of chips) when the youth space is running low. Our youth minister, Abbi Hamm, will contact you with a request and you can bring the items by when it is convenient for you! Youth events are held multiple times a week and they love having drinks and snacks.

Painting Projects
Several painting projects are available in a variety of sizes. Supplies will be provided. Open to adults working alone or together, or groups with kids needing service hours.

St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities - Monday Meal
Provide an entree, side dishes, and dessert on Mondays to the 10 to 15 residents of the St. Elizabeth Residential Program. This ministry is an excellent opportunity for Holy Family families to spread God's Kingdom to budding families - specifically women and children - right here, in New Albany.

In Heaven's Eyes - Saturday Lunch Crew
Prepare and distribute brown bag lunches to individuals and families associated with the New Albany Housing Authority. Volunteers gather every Saturday morning in the In Heaven's Eyes building to prepare over 80 lunches with PB&J, fruit, snacks, and juice.

- Time commitment: 10:30am-12pm, one Saturday per month
Homebound Ministry
An opportunity to form a relationship with a parishioner who is unable to regularly attend Mass or social events. Visitors should be good listeners, dedicated, dependable, and friendly. You will arrage regular visits (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) at times that work for you and your assigned parishioner. Depending on their needs, you may also be asked to bring Holy Communion, partake in spiritual discussions, and pray with them. Ongoing support from a parish staff member is available for you, if desired.

Food Deliveries for St. Vincent de Paul
Package and deliver boxes of food to our neighbors in need. As people reach out to SVDP for assistance, a volunteer takes food from the SVDP pantry and delivers it to the family’s front door. We are contacted many times each week and need more hands to meet the need in our community. Volunteers must be able to carry boxes of food up steps and have a personal vehicle.

Furniture Deliveries for St. Vincent de Paul
Assist in picking up and delivering donated furniture as needed and your availability allows. Must be able to carry loads up staircases.

Cook for In Heaven's Eyes
Once a month prepare and drop off a crockpot of soup, casserole, or macaroni and cheese type meals for our Wednesday homeless ministry. We provide the crockpot and the liner.

Volunteer at Middle School Monthly Events
Be an adult chaperone at monthly youth ministry events that take place on parish grounds. The three-hour events include prayer, dinner, service work, and social activities.
- 6 openings: December 10, January 21, February 11, March 11, April 22, May 20
- Time commitment: 3 hours (6-9 p.m. on a Friday night)

Teaching Teams for Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)
We are seeking volunteers to join a teaching team who will help educate, instruct, and serve as spiritual leaders to some of the youngest members of our Parish! Our programming enables children to dive into the Sunday readings and Gospel with child-friendly language, group discussions, and the use of hands-on materials and activities to help them grow in faith and aid in their learning of God’s Word and the Catholic Mass. Our Children's Liturgy program occurs during our 10:30 am Mass every Sunday and is available to preschool-aged children through first grade.

Ministers of Hospitality (Ushers & Greeters)
Promote a sense of welcoming and belonging to all the faithful as they gather for Mass by:
- Greeting parishioners and visitors at the door
- Assisting with the collection
- Directing the faithful before and during Mass
- Openings:
- 3 for 5 p.m. Mass
- 3 for 8 a.m.
- 2 for 10:30 a.m.
- 3 for 6 p.m.

- Expected time commitment: Once per month, arrive 30 minutes before your preferred Mass
Lectors
Proclaim the living Word of God to the congregation at Masses by reading the first and second readings and the general intercessions. Lectors are an essential part of the Mass because we are nourished from the ambo as well as the altar.

- 3 for 5 p.m. Mass
- 2 for 8 a.m.
- 5 for 10:30 a.m.
- 3 for 6 p.m.

- Expected time commitment: Once per month, arrive 15 minutes before your preferred Mass
Cantors
Lead the congregation in song during weekend Masses. Often accompanied by musicians on piano and/or guitar.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Assist the priest in the prayerful and effective distribution of Holy Communion during Mass.

Livestream Team
Run the livestream on Facebook Live during the 8 a.m. Mass on Sundays.

Holy Hour of Adoration on First or Third Wednesday
Commit to an hour of prayer on the first or third Wednesday of each month.
- Openings:
- 1st Wednesday: 11am, 2pm, 4pm, 5pm
- 3rd Wednesday: 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm
- Time commitment: 1 hour
