Gilbert Paul Doutaz, Jr. 73, died Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 27, 1950, to Gilbert Paul Sr. and Dorothy Browning Doutaz. He had a successful career as an Electrical Engineer, independently contracting. He regularly attended Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany, Indiana, was a member of the YMCA in Harrison County and an Honorable Kentucky Colonel member. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Candace Howard Doutaz, siblings, Betty Noyes, Margie Rupe, and Carol Scott. His daughters and their spouses survive him, Jennifer (Jeremy) Sillings of Seattle, Washington; Michelle (Jeff) Adams of Corydon, Indiana; Stephanie (Brian) Davis of New Salisbury, Indiana, his grandchildren, Cameron Sillings, Grayson (Kendra) Sillings, Alton Adams, Nolan Adams, Gavin Davis, Morgan Adams, Dylan Adams, Corbin Davis and one great-grandchild, Kaisley Sillings. He is also survived by his siblings, brothers, Phil Doutaz, and Joe Doutaz, sisters, Jeanne Grantz, Jackie Connor, Kathy Bartles, Dottie Davis, Julie McKean, several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family.
