Now Hiring: Communications & Advancement Director

Holy Family Catholic Parish & School in New Albany, IN is seeking a Communications & Advancement Director to build connections and community through dynamic multimedia messaging. Applicant should possess a desire to spread the Good News of Christ and the Church with parishioners, students, parents, staff, patrons, and the unchurched. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with school and parish administration to develop marketing strategies and plans that advance Holy Family School & Preschool. Both part-time and full-time candidates will be considered.


  • Ensure brand and messaging quality and consistency across all departments, activities, and events at the school and among professional and volunteer leadership
  • Communicate ministries, events, and service opportunities through printed bulletin, weekly emails, and social media
  • Social media management and advertising for school and parish
  • Design print and digital materials for school and parish needs
  • Website management using content management systems
  • Manage volunteers to livestream and photograph parish events and liturgies, and school events and daily activities
  • Design strategies and implement concrete plans to increase student applications and maintain prospective student and family interest, including special events geared towards retention and recruitment 
  • Special event advertising (direct mail, social media, etc.)
  • Plan and manage the department budget in order to maximize the effectiveness of all communications


  • Active member of a parish faith community
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications Media or related field
  • Excellent time management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt and take on new skills
  • Collaboration, planning and implementation skills
  • Occasionally work evenings, weekends
  • Experience with social media management, graphic design, content management, print production, Wordpress, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign), email marketing providers (Mailchimp, Flocknote), Google Admin Console
