Kenneth “Chuck” Flood, Sr., 91, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022.
Chuck was born in Louisville and worked for many years as a maintenance welder. He bravely fought for our freedoms in World War II as a member of the 729th United States Marine Detachment. Chuck was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Dienes Flood.
Carrying on Chuck’s legacy are his children, Kenneth Flood, Jr., Dolores Carpenter, Theresa Flood, Patrick Flood, and Robin Crimm; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and nephew, John Brand.
Visitation for Chuck will be from 2-8 PM on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 14 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany, IN.
