Since 2002, the New Albany Deanery has offered a paid internship, awarded to a Catholic young adult each year, as a way of encouraging young adults to consider a lifelong career/vocation in ministry or helping professions that positively impact youth and young adults. Thanks to the generous support of the family and friends of C.J. Smith, Catalyst Catholic is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted, through April 16, for a total of four internships, with four specific areas of specialty:
- Summer Evangelization Coordinator (30 hours per week, May through August)
- Annual Evangelization Coordinator (10 hours per week, July through June)
- Athletic Ministry Coordinator (10 hours per week, July through June)
- Media Coordinator (10 hours per week, July through June)
Applicants must be an active member of the Roman Catholic faith, in good standing who are willing to uphold the teachings of the Roman Catholic faith in word and in action. Applicants must be enrolled, full or part-time, in an institution of high learning (which may include working towards an associate, bachelors, or masters degree, as well as trade skill training). Each intern will be awarded a $4500 stipend towards tuition or room and board plus a $500 stipend for transportation costs.
