The Most Holy Trinity

It’s summer time! Can you believe it? For many, summer is a time of breaks from school or work, maybe a vacation or two! There is time spent outside, hanging out with family and friends, grilling out, hanging by the pool, and so much more!

While many of us experience a break in these next few summer months, it is essential to remember our obligation as Christians never takes a break. If we are lucky enough to have some time off during the summer, what a perfect opportunity to dig deeper into learning and growing more in our faith.

Our Holy Family family remains:

  • When there’s no school.
  • When we go on vacation.
  • When we are away from Southern Indiana.

There is no “break” from discipleship. That can seem a little overwhelming at times, but the fact remains: we must always strive to live a Christ-like life.

One way to do this, especially during the summer, is to get involved in parish life. This could look like attending an event at the parish, volunteering in youth ministry, spending some extra time in prayer, visiting Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and most importantly, attending Mass each weekend.

Just as we heard a couple of weeks ago, Jesus calls His apostles to “go, make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28: 19.) Jesus asks us to do the same. Will you join me this summer in striving to live out the Great Commission?

Check out all of the fruitful opportunities we have going on around Holy Family this summer!

In Christ,

Abbi Hamm (Coordinator of Youth Ministry)
