Parishioners and Friends of Holy Family,

I pray that this Lent has been full of new experiences with the Lord and has allowed you to grow closer to His heart as you prepare to celebrate the Resurrection!

My name is Abbi Hamm and I am the Youth Minister here at Holy Family. For the past year and a half, I have had the amazing opportunity to serve our young people and lead them in service, Bible Studies, prayer, and of course, lots of fun activities! Holy Family Youth Ministry has been so blessed by the support of Father Gries, our school staff and families, and many of our parishioners. We are excited to share with you about our upcoming trip to the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC.)

This November, thousands of young people from around the country will gather in Indianapolis for a time of worship, fellowship, spiritual enrichment, and so much more! It is an opportunity that truly changes lives and allows young people to explore the uniqueness of the Catholic Church.

2016 Holy Family grad, Ryan Drury, raves about his experience: “NCYC is such a unique and powerful experience and just the thought of it brings back a rush of faith-filled memories with my peers. I had the pleasure of going twice and it was life-changing for me. It helped me to realize the massive community that we are a part of as Catholics. Nothing can match attending mass with thousands of kids my age together in a single building. These memories were all important for me and helped me grow in my faith in just the few days I was there.”

Remy Slotten, a current 8th Grader at Holy Family, is looking forward to the opportunity this fall: “I’m really excited to go to NCYC because I know I am going to meet new people my own age who share my faith. I know I am going to grow deeper in my faith and experience God in new ways. I can’t wait to go and have fun. And by donating to help us go, you will be a part of our spiritual journey too.”

This experience has the power to change lives, and with your support, our young people will be able to experience the beauty that is the universal Church and the love that the Lord has to offer each of us. We first ask for your spiritual support. Pray for the students that have already made the commitment, those that are thinking about going, and all that will attend NCYC. Secondly, please consider making a financial contribution to allow the young people of Holy Family Parish to attend this conference without financial burden. There will be a special collection at all Masses this weekend, or you can by mail or online with Faith Direct.
