Easter Sunday

Resurrection of Christ by Annibale Carracci, 1593 Louvre
Christ has Risen, as He said He would, Alleluia!!!
Victimæ paschali laudes
Christians, to the Paschal Victim
Offer your thankful praises!
A Lamb the sheep redeems;
Christ, who only is sinless,
Reconciles sinners to the Father.
Death and life have contended
in that combat stupendous:
The Prince of life, who died,
reigns immortal.
Speak, Mary, declaring
What you saw, wayfaring.
“The tomb of Christ, who is living,
The glory of Jesus’ resurrection;
bright angels attesting,
The shroud and napkin resting.
Yes, Christ my hope is arisen;
to Galilee he goes before you.”
Christ indeed from death is risen,
our new life obtaining.
Have mercy, victor King,
ever reigning!
Amen. Alleluia.
On behalf of all the ministerial staff of Holy Family Catholic Church, I wish you a happy and blessed Easter! As we enter into this wondrous season of Easter, may the New Life of Jesus Christ be boldly evident in each one of us as we live forth our Resurrection Joy & Grace.
Easter Octave Adoration of the Most Holy Eucharist
Next Sunday, April 27, the entire New Albany Deanery will have a joint Divine Mercy Service. There will be several priests hearing confessions (including me) starting at 2p. At 3p there will be a Holy Hour with recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet. This will fulfill the plenary indulgence requirements.
Nothing Less than saints for the Holy Family of God.
