Parishioner Evelyn Baumann Passes Away

Evelyn Rose Baumann, 102, passed away on January 20, 2026, at the Waters of Georgetown in Georgetown, Indiana. Evelyn was born on February 3, 1923, to the late Martin Libs and Caroline Zimmerman Libs. Evelyn retired from Floyd Memorial Hospital after being a loyal and caring nurse for 22 years. She was a devoted catholic and attended Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany, Indiana. She was a proud member of Holy Family's quilting group. Evelyn also enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, making crafts including counted-cross stitch, and was an excellent seamstress.


Evelyn in preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Irvin "Bud" Baumann; her siblings, Irvin Libs, Raymond Libs, Bertha Eckert, Mary Morthorst, Dorothy Sprigler, Sister Dolorita Libs, and Anna Lee Gesenhues.

Evelyn is survived by several loving nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends.


A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Daisy Lane, New Albany, Indiana, on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:00 am and Evelyn will be laid to rest at Saint Mary's of the Knobs, Floyds Knobs, Indiana.

Mary Ann Lopp, who was born on the 11th of May, 1937 in Corydon, Indiana, gently passed away on August 22, 2026 at Harrison Healthcare, with her family by her side. She worked for several years as a cafeteria worker for South Harrison Community School Corporation at South Central School. She was a lifelong and dedicated member of St. Peter’s Buena Vista Catholic Church and, later in life, attended Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed tending to her garden, traveling, and going dancing at the Wagon Wheel. Above all, she adored her family and treasured the time she spent with them. She was rarely without her camera, always ready to capture the special moments and memories she shared with those she loved. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home (318 East Chestnut Street, Corydon, Indiana, 47112). A Mass of Christian Burial will follow, starting at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany, Indiana, 47150).

Janet Therese (Dallmann) "Noni" Krininger passed on August 18, 2026, at the age of 91. She was born September 2, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Arthur and Rose Schelp Dallmann. She was in the graduating class of 1952 of the old Holy Rosary High School in Louisville with classmates still meeting monthly. Janet was a longtime resident of New Albany, a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.  Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 129 W Daisy Ln, New Albany, Indiana 47150, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 11:00 am. Final resting place will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.

John “Lester” Clemons, 90, passed away on Tuesday, August 18th, 2026. John found joy in the simple things in life. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening, antiques, and collectibles. He would never miss a good yard sale and was also an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, August 25th, at Holy Family Catholic Church- New Albany, 129 W Daisy Lane, New Albany, IN 47150 with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. His visitation will be from 2- 7 p.m. on Monday, August 24th, Ratterman Southwest, 4832 Cane Run Rd., Louisville, KY, 40216. There will also be a viewing from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday before procession to Holy Family Catholic Church.
