As we celebrate 70 years of Mass and your life’s most important moments in our Holy Family Church building…
We are planning a number of improvements to our space:
- A new, environmentally friendly, energy-efficient VRF heat pump HVAC system will be installed. The existing boiler and smokestack will be demolished.
- Carpets in the sanctuary, sacristy, and hallway will be replaced after 16 years of service.
- Electrical work includes replacing existing sanctuary spotlights with low-heat, energy-efficient LED lamps, and reparing the existing nave pendant lights. Four new ceiling fans will be installed.
- The pews will receive a much-needed refurbishment, so as to last 70 more years.
- Purchasing a new baby grand piano, to replace the current piano that struggles to stay in tune.

Timeline & Cost
The work will happen in stages. The HVAC, flooring, & electrical upgrades will be completed between the end of May and early July. Pew restoration work will start in the fall of 2024 and run through the spring of 2025. The boiler decommissioning and removal will be scheduled once the new system installation is complete, no earlier than August. The smokestack demolition will be coordinated for the fall of 2024.
