Staff Member: Karen Schoenfelder
Hi! My name is Karen Weber Schoenfelder. I was born and raised on a farm in Salem, SD. After I married Dan Schoenfelder in 1983, we moved to Macon, GA where we had 2 children, Chris & Amanda. In 1998, we moved to Southern Indiana where we joined Holy Family Parish. Best decision ever! Our children attended the school here and went on to Providence High School. I have a degree in Airline & Travel Careers and worked as a travel agent for 30 years. I decided to retire from the travel industry, so I took the position of Administrative Assistant for the parish in July 2012 and am happy to say I love it here.
In my position as Administrative Assistant, I do a multitude of things. I maintain the parishioner data base which is used for all mailings and parish directories, welcome new parishioners, schedule Baptisms, order supplies for the office and church, keep all the sacramental records for the parish, coordinate Ministry Scheduler, schedule the use of the parish meeting spaces, schedule mass intentions, and I take on special projects that are needed. Oh yes, and I do whatever Fr. Jeremy asks me to do!I am available in the office Wednesday thru Friday.
I love working at Holy Family because the work atmosphere is friendly, positive, and service oriented. Holy Family feels like home to me! My favorite Bible verse is Phil. 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
