Jalen Benjamin Jones Grantz, 21 years of age, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born July 28, 2000 in Bloomington, IN and was preceded in death by his mother Jeanette Grantz, his birth-mother, Natalie Jones, and his grandmother Nancy Grantz. Jalen was a loving, friendly, person who never met a stranger, he had the ability to carry on a conversation with anyone. He was extremely intelligent, enjoyed listening to music, reading books on a myriad of subjects, as well as had a great love of sports. Survivors include his father, Kevin Grantz, siblings, Vivica Howard, Jennifer Howard, Stephon Howard, Kelsey Jones, Taylor Jones, and Asia Jones, grandparents, Joe and Carolyn Grantz, John and Genevieve Churchill, and Fred and Marsha Jones, nephews, Ace and Justiz, along with many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 21st from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and after 9:00 am on Wednesday, September 22nd at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany. His Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday, September 22nd at Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
