Cleaners Needed

Per the guidelines for reopening issued by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, for a parish to offer Masses with the faithful present certain criteria must be met. To meet these criteria, we need volunteers to help sanitize between Masses. If insufficient volunteers are available, Holy Family will have to scale back its public Mass offerings. If you are healthy, able, and willing, please commit to clean so that the congregation can come to pray. Please contact Paul Stiller (pstiller@holyfamilynewalbany.org) with your availability.

Reopening Churches & Resuming Public Liturgies

New from the Archdiocese: Archbishop Thompson and his staff are continuing to explore and evaluate all the possible ways the public celebration of Mass may resume in the many different parts of the archdiocese.  Because the conditions and local restrictions vary in different parts of the archdiocese and because of the complexities of navigating all of the requirements of opening our churches and restarting public liturgical celebrations, all of the faithful are asked to only follow the timeline of and to attend the services at their home parish for the next month/until June 15th.  This will enable parishes to more accurately assess the numbers of attendees and to communicate effectively with them before their arrival.  So, while parishes may resume the public celebration of Mass at slightly different times, all parishioners are asked to only go to their home parishes for the next month.

Reminders from Holy Family:

  • If you did not read the HFNA COVID19 Reopening Protocols released last week, please do so.
  • The church is open for private prayer from 8:30am to 5pm Monday-Saturday.
  • Starting this Tuesday, May 19, our regular Mass schedule will resume.

Each Friday in May, we will be live streaming a Rosary on Facebook Live. May is a month that Catholics show their love and devotion to Mary in a particular way. The stream will begin at 6pm on the Holy Family Parish Facebook page.

Pope Francis is encouraging families to "rediscover the beauty of praying the Rosary at home in the month of May." He has provided two prayers to Our Lady that can be prayed at the end of the Rosary during this month. Read his letter and access the prayers here.

Mass will continue to be streamed on Sundays at 8am!

Liturgy guides with the readings and music for each Sunday will be available at holyfamilynewalbany.com/covid19. Download or view them on your phone to follow along while live streaming. Guides for the 6th Sunday of Easter are here:

Like and follow us on Facebook to be notified when we go live. We will begin the stream 5 minutes before the scheduled time so you pray in silence before we begin.

Not on Facebook? No problem! All our live streams are now available even without an account. Go to our Facebook page and click on the "Live" tab. The video will also be available on holyfamilynewalbany.org/covid19 by 10am each Sunday.
