In Heaven’s Eyes (IHE) Update

In Heaven’s Eyes Ministry would like to thank the parishioners and the many volunteers of Holy Family Parish as well as volunteers from other neighboring Catholic Parishes, for helping IHE serve the homeless and needy in our community during a difficult 2020. Special appreciation goes out to our lunch and bridge team leaders, food buyers and clothes sorters for all of their hard work and dedication.

COVID-19 continues to cause disruption in many areas of our lives. In spite of being shut down for an entire month earlier this year, volunteers in the Saturday Lunch ministry prepared and delivered over 4,000 brown bag lunches to local needy individual and families in our area. Wednesday Bridge ministry volunteers prepared and served over 850 meals to needy men, women and children, working in association with Jesus Cares at Exit Zero.

Also during this challenging year, adult and children’s clothing, shoes, jackets, coats, bath and bedding, kitchen, toys, furniture and many other donated items were distributed through other service organizations in our area.

IHE extends an extra special “Thank You” to sixth-grader Gracelyn Raelson, whose year-long coat drive collected over 200 coats for distribution to the homeless and needy men, women, and children in our community and beyond.

Happy New Year, and please continue to pray for, volunteer, and support In Heaven’s Eyes Ministry.

The crowd kept asking him, “What then are we supposed to do?” John told them, “Give food to the hungry, clothe the poor, and bless the needy.” Luke 3:10-11
